COMPRESSED GAS CYLINDERS CHECKLIST

Name of Equipment / Area Date& Time . Name of Auditor(s) . Audi tee Name .. OBSERVATIONS Are cylinders marked to clearly identify the gas contained? Are compressed gas cylinders stored in cool, shaded & well ventilated area which is protected from heat & direct sun light? Are all cylinders secured from damaged by passing or falling objects, or subject to tampering by unauthorized persons? Are all cylinders properly chain & lock.
Is Pressure Relief Device present and free from damage? Are cylinders valve protection caps in place and at least hand tight?

Are cylinder valve closed and caped when not in use? Are all empty cylinders stored separately with filled cylinders?

Are all cylinders inspected on regular basis to check leak etc? Are cylinders transported in a hand operated trolley / truck?

Are Cylinders free of corrosion and other recognized damage? Are cylinders used as rollers, supports and other uses?
Are empty cylinders marked as such and valves closed? Are cylinders placed where they may become part of an electrical circuit? Are cylinders exposed to temperatures greater than 125 F? Are damaged cylinders in service? Are all cylinder stored at one place without distinguish of their MSDS? Is Safety sign posting system in place at cylinder storage area? Is staff aware about use of PPE when using these cylinders?
