Why do we feel cold or hot?

Facts:
Heat transfer amount is directly proportional to the temperature difference between the surfaces of interest. The heat transfer direction is from the surface of the higher temperature to that of the lower temperature. Feeling hot or cold is due to the difference between the bodys internal temperature and the skin temperature.

While our human bodys temperature is kept constant at 37oc for a healthy man, the heat transfer between the human body and the surroundings should be adjustable as any excess heat energy inside the body should be rejected to the surroundings and vice versa. For example, when a man eat, warmth is the prevailing feeling because the food is burned inside the body generating excess energy that is rejected to the surroundings by increasing the skin temperature to the value that achieves a temperature difference between the body skin and the surroundings able to reject the required amount of heat. As a conclusion, as much as you eat, you will feel warmer. Another example, in the cold climates, it is recognized from heat transfer theories that energy would continuously transfer from the body to the surrounding because the bodys temperature is 37oc and the surrounding is much lower and by logic it will continue till death. But actually what happens is adjusting the human skin temperature to a lower value achieving the required heat transfer and that is why we feel cold. The opposite is totally true for the hot climates. Finally, it does worth to mention that adjusting the skin temperature is a reflex and is considered one of Allah benefits on a human to let a human survive a wide range of climates around the earth.
