IF white light is used instead of monochromatic light then coloured fringes are formed on the screen with red fringes of larger size than the violet fringes. Because the wavelength of red light is greater than wavelength of violet light. But for all the colours ,the central fringe will be white.Beacuse the path difference for all at the central fringe is 0. If path difference is a multiple of wavelength,then only the interference is constructive.

2.the fringes obtained on the screen are really hyberbolas but if D>>d,then it will appear as a line. As we go away from the central bright fringe the average intensity of the light waves decreases,hence the bright fringes decrease in brightness.. 3.If the whole apparatus is immersed in some other medium ,the wavelength changes hence fringe width changes.
