The Fourth Squad is investigating a Fatal Aided that was located in Lido Beach on Friday, October 04, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. According to detectives, persons fishing approximately 1.5 miles south of Lido Beach came across a body floating face down in the water. Nassau County Police Marine Bureau, Nassau County Police Aviation Unit and the United States Coast Guard responded. The body of a male black, approximately 55 to 60 years of age, average build, balding with black and gray hair, wearing a blue pattern buttoned shirt, red plaid pajama pants and black slip on shoes was recovered. The aided was pronounced at 12:30 P.M. and the body removed to the Nassau County Medical Examiners Office. Detectives request anyone with information regarding this person to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
