Indication/purposes -to identify the extent of brain injury or damage and the areas that are affected

Results There is approximately 7cc acute bleed or hematoma involving the region of the left basal ganglia, with associated minimal perihematomal edema and circumferential mass effect (e.g. Effacement of left sylvian fissures and adjacent cortical sulci). There is another probable a small amount of bleed in the region of the left hemipons.

Normal values - normal frame structure

Analysis and interpretation of results Hemorrhage found at the left basal ganglia since the left part o the brain is affected the patient manifested paralysis or weakness at the right side of the body.

NURSING RESPONSIBILITIES Prior the procedure Instruct the patient NPO post midnight Make the patient sign for consent before the procedure. Inform the patient to remove metals During the procedure: Inform the patient that he procedure will only take a few minutes Inform the patient to relax After the procedure: Apply warm compress if Hematoma develops on the site of blood extraction

Monitor the patient for allergic reaction in dye used.
