    All exams must be taken as scheduled. There will be no makeup exams. Exam Rules: Students must be separated by at least one empty seat on all sides. The midterms and nal exam are closed-book and closed-notes. No cheat-sheets are allowed, and no formulas will be provided. There will be no numbers on the exams, therefore no need for calculators. Any calculators visible during the exam will be conscated. If a pager or cellular phone makes noise during an exam, the student in possession of said item may be asked to leave, without completing the exam. Please make sure your phone and/or pager is turned o. Homework: As the quarter proceeds, I will be posting lists of recommended problems from each chapter on the course website. These problems will not be collected, however, I strongly recommended that you do them anyway - the more practice you get, the more youll learn and the better shape youre going to be in. Grade Composition: Midterm 1: 25% Midterm 2: 25% Final Exam: 50%
