Use the Microsoft Excel to solve the problem. Format a spreadsheet, enter the data, and enter
a formula to solve the problem.
1) The table shows the number of hours the students spend in reading in a week.
Two classes record the number of hours they spent in reading. Class A spent hours reading, 12.5
hours on Sunday, 22.75 hours on Monday, 27.5 hours on Tuesday, 30.0 hours on Wednesday,
24.25 hours on Thursday, 15 hours on Friday, and 9.2 hours on Saturday.
Meanwhile Class B spent reading in week listed as: 22.5 hours on Sunday, 24.6 hours on
Monday, 23.75 hours on Tuesday, 19.45 hours on Wednesday, 17.3 hours on Thursday, 10.8
hours on Friday and 11.8 hours on Saturday.
Find the total number of hours spent by Class A and Class B in a week. Which class had spent
more hours reading?

a formula to solve the problem.
Three friends went to a farm to pick strawberries. Lionel picked 1 7/8 pounds, Duncan
picked 1 5/6 pounds, and George picked 1 pounds. How many pounds of
strawberries Lionel and Duncan picked? How many pounds of strawberries the three
boys picked? How much more pounds of strawberries Lionel and Duncan picked than
Lionel and Duncan? What is the total weight of strawberries picked?
Create the table below you similar to what you have made in the Excel.

On the lines below, explain the method you used to solve the problem.
