MON 9th From St Marys and St Annes, Moseley: Lord, we ask for your blessing on Moseley with all its different joys, achievements and needs. We give thanks for all the groups that help to strengthen the feeling of community and brighten peoples lives. Help us to be a worshipping, learning, sharing and hospitable community using our gifts to reach out and serve everyone. May how we live, and all we are, present your healing, peace and love to all. Amen. TUES 10th From Revd Jim Cox, of St Marys, Selly Oak: We pray, O Lord, that the many thousands who hear your word each year through baptisms, weddings and funerals at St Marys may know something of your affirming and abiding love. WED 11th Pray for ordinands in training in our city. Pray that God would guide them in their study and that his Holy Spirit would inspire them in their fellowship together. THURS 12th Pray for the Handsworth Deanery Clergy Breakfast, taking place today. FRI 13th Lucy, Martyr at Syracuse, 304 Give thanks for those who give their lives in service of God and pray for those who work for aid organisations in countries in conflict. SAT 14th John of the Cross, Poet, Teacher of the Faith,1591 Please pray for teachers and all those who work in education across our city. Give thanks for all they do and pray that they would receive rest over the Christmas period.
