CAB BACK-WALL TRIM MOLDING CH MODEL CHASSIS

On CH model chassis with the CX style interior (manufactured after January 1, 2000), the trim molding located below the rear window on the cab back-wall trim panel may loosen and possibly fall off. Should this occur, the molding may be reinstalled as follows: 1. Completely remove the molding, if possible, from the back wall trim panel. If completely removing the molding is not possible, pull the molding away from the trim panel far enough to gain access to the glue on the backside. 2. Scrape as much glue as possible from the backside of the molding. The area three inches inward from the outer edge of the molding is critical and should be free of glue.

3. Apply a generous bead of super glue gel (part No. 3760-2999 or equivalent), to the backside of the molding, approximately one inch from the outer edge. If the molding has been completely removed from the cab, apply additional adhesive to the center section.

Super glue gel (part No. 3760-2999) is available through the MACK Parts System. Approximately 8 ounces of adhesive will be required.

This adhesive has a very short cure time (approximately 12 minutes). 4. After the adhesive has been applied, press the molding firmly in place against the back wall trim panel and hold for approximately 25 minutes or until the adhesive dries. The labor code and maximum labor allowance are as follows:
Labor code/allowance......................................... 642 1A 01 80 0.5 hr. Time to remove molding from cab back-wall trim panel, apply adhesive and reinstall molding. Does not include .2 hr. take charge time.
