NATIONAL CITIZEN SERVICE- Summer 2013 An amazing opportunity for you to support local Young People aged 16 & 17. To whom it may concern, I write from LEBC, which is an education charity running the National Citizen Service programme for Leicester and Leicestershire young people. Essentially this means we are working with 500+ 16 and 17 year old students in this Summer to increase the students confidence, skills and understanding of how they can contribute in a positive way to their local communities. The program follows Week one; Residential at High Adventure outdoor pursuits centre in Cheshire Week two; Residential at Leicester University Week three; Community based, planning social action projects Week four; Out delivering their social action projects The students may be required to find a location to carry out fundraising activities for a few hours. They are in the process of contacting different sites in order to stage the fundraising. This letter provides confirmation that the students are legitimately carrying out fundraising for their chosen charity and are taking part in the NCS program.
