Adding Integers
Adding Integers
To add integers you need to look at any signs in front of the numbers. For example 13+-3, 3 has a - in front of it so it is a negative. To add -3 negative to 13 you need subtract 3 because it is a negative. So you will get 10. Picture it as a number line.
You always get zero when adding 2 of the same numbers but with opposite signs.
To add numbers with opposite signs you need to subtract instead of add and after passing 0 you change remove or add the negative sign. To add numbers with the same sign just add normally and put the negative sign is working with two negatives
