Dear Sir/ Madam Application for the post of Account Manager I am writing to apply for the position of Account Manager as advertised in The Star dated 5 March 2013. I will graduate from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in ------ with a Bachelor of Accountancy (hons.). My formal education has provided me with the skills required for the position. I have taken several accounting courses that will qualify me as an applicant for this position. In addition, I am used to computer and am familiar with several software programmes such as Windows and Mr. Accounting. My part time job as a school canteen assistance since I was secondary school has provided me with valuable clerical and managerial skills. I have learn how to control any unexpected situation with the pupils and teachers. My involvement in extra-curricular activities at the university has strengthened my interpersonal skill, which gave me knowledge on how I can work with different kind of people. I have developed confidence and leadership qualities through participation in the Kor Siswa Siswi Pertahanan Awam ( Kor SISPA). In addition, I have been awarded with Young Lieutenant from Jabatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia. To be awarded I need to attend several courses. This course has thought me a lot on how to work under pressure. We need to solve problems and propose solution. And sometimes we are given a short notice task; this thought me how to manage my time and to make sure Im disciplined. I am certain that
