I- Introduction:
A PSpice simulation was done to verify the results of a 4th order Low pass RC circuit. The 3dB frequency was given, so were the gains of each stage. From these the values of all capacitors and resistors were calculated. After the simulation, the 3dB frequency, the overall DC gain and the roll off were verified. A plot was implemented to view the filter response.
II- Design:
The 3dB frequency is given by f3dB = 1/(2RC) >> f3dB =1000 Hz We select C=0.1 F >> R=15.9k The gain of stage 1 is given by: AV1= 1.15= 1+(Rf1/Ri1) Selecting Rf1=10 k >> Ri1=66 k The gain of stage 2 is given by AV2= 2.235= 1+(Rf2/Ri2) Selecting Rf2=10 k >> Ri2=8 k The theoretical overall gain is: AV= AV1* AV2 >> Av=2.575 V/V Note that the theoretical roll off is -80dB/decade.
III- Circuit:
The circuit was connected as shown below:

Figure 2: Simulation Plot Using the Probe Cursor we find: The overall DC gain: AV=2.588 V/V The 3dB frequency is: f3dB=1000.808 Hz The Roll of is: -79.191 dB/decade

VI- Conclusion:
The percent errors are small so the simulation and the design went successful.
