They are nosy and like to test their own limits for they are incredibly agile. By doing this they sometimes get into trouble. One time Short-tail was collecting Chokecherries high up in a tree near the deck one of the other Chippies had entered her home to check how much food she had collected in her larder and perhaps there was something to spare. Short-tail came down the tree in a hurry and chased the intruder back into his territory.
