Target Group: Brief History:

Women of all ages will be the focus of Conairs bobby pin redesign. Having hairs out of place is something we unfortunately never outgrow.

Conair was founded in 1959 and quickly branched out into different product divisions all centered on health and beauty products. The company quickly became the leader in producing hair care accessories and appliances. In recent years, Conair acquired Scunci, another top hair accessories brand in the United States. This combination has furthered Conairs presence in the hair accessories market and pushed the business to world leader.

Big Idea:

As such a large manufacturing leader, Conairs focus is spread thin. Due to this, the packaging for their bobby pins has taken a back seat. I propose that the product design be updated to a more modern design. The new look will feature a fun modern packaging shape, with a new layout and color scheme. This redesign will make Conair bobby pins jump off the shelf and look like the world leader they are.

Style Guide
Logos:
For the Conair Bobbypin redesign, only the black logo will be used on both packaging and marketing materials. Becuase the logo will appear small on the packaging, it is best left black in order to be easily visible but not distracting. Leaving the logo in its current state will also ensure that customers can recognize the brand. For packaging purposes, the ConAir logo should be placed in the center about 1 down.
