Template for obtaining the subsequent events confirmation from the client

Type 1: For reporting to the group auditors on the group reporting pack

Dear (name), We are in the process of finalizing the audit of XYZ Limited for the Year Ended 31 December 2012. In order to complete the audit process, we need an update regarding any subsequent events that have occurred after 31 December 2012 up to XXXX 2013. We are required to disclose in the report as a part of deliverables, any significant events that may have occurred after the year end date. These events may include, but are not limited to:

Significant new events that may impact the cash receipts, payments, other assets / liabilities that are recorded in group reporting pack; Other significant events that may have impacted the ability to operate or continue as a going concern; Significant modification to the legal agreements/any other relevant documents; Any significant developments/modifications to the legal/contingent liability status as at 31 December 2012; Any material instances of fraud, misappropriations, significant non-compliance with the policies/procedures of the Company and the laws and regulations that may impact the cash receipts, payments, other assets / liabilities recorded in the group reporting pack.
