Option 1. Research a college/university you are interested in that requires an essay not just a short answer question, but an extended essay answer. Write an essay that responds to one of their prompts. Option 2. Use one of the prompts, numbers 1-4 only, from the University of Chicago. https://collegeadmissions.uchicago.edu/apply/essays/ Option 3. Choose one of the Common Application questions, except "Topic of Your Choice." Navigate http://www.commonapp.org/ for the prompts and for more information on this application. Option 4: Find a legitimate scholarship application essay prompt and write an essay in response.
Include the full prompt that you are responding to and where the prompt came from. Also include any length restrictions specified for the essay. (Include the prompt on all drafts.) Limit your essay length to the exact requirements specified by the institution to which you are applying. Typed, double-spaced, one-sided, ordinary font choice and 12-point size.
Find your prompt and start writing a rough draft. Rough draft due date to submit to www.turnitin.com will be Oct. 18 by midnight. Turn in on time or you will not be able to participate in peer review activity on Tuesday, 10-19 for points that are not recoverable. Final draft will also be submitted to www.turnitin.com.
