    Elvis Presley was born in 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi and grew up loving music, getting his first guitar at age 11. He graduated from high school in 1953 and began performing on the Louisiana Hayride stage, earning popularity and fame. Elvis served in the army from 1958 to 1960. He married Priscilla Beaulieu in 1962 and they had a daughter Lisa Marie in 1968, though they later divorced in 1972. Elvis continued making music and movies very successfully until his death from a heart attack in 1977 at the young age of 42.

    Elviss Family
    Was born in Tupelo, Mississippi. He had a twin brother that was stillborn. His name was Jesse Garon. Elviss mom was a sewing machine operator. Elviss dad was a truck driver.

    Elviss Childhood
    The first school that Elvis went to was East Tupelo Consolidated School. Later, he went to Milan Junior High School. When he was 11 he got his first guitar. He took it to school with him every day. In 1948 Elvis moved to Memphis, Tennessee.

    Elvis Graduates

    On June 3, 1953, Elvis graduated from J. C. Humes High School

    The Louisiana Hayride


    The Louisiana Hayride was Elviss first national stage. He earned $18 per show.

    Army
    On March 24, 1958, Elvis entered the Army. He was discharged May of 1960.

    Elvis Romance
    On May 1, 1962, Elvis married Prisilla Beaulieu.

    Elvis has a Child


    In February of 1968, their only child, Lisa Marie Presley, was born.

    Divorce!
    In February of 1972, Elvis separated from Prisilla. On his birthday he filed for divorce!

    Still Rockin
    After the divorce Elvis kept selling records and making movies.

    Everyone Has Their Time


    On August 16, 1977 Elvis died. He died from a heart attack that was not caused by drugs.
