Academic Project Undertaken

1. Virtual Ergonomic Evaluation of a Grinding Workstation in a Plastic Waste Management Factory Using Digital Human Model. (Summer Internship Project at IIT Guwahati) May13-June13 Supervisor: Dr Sougata Karmakar, Asst. Prof., Dept. of Design, IIT Guwahati. 3D models of the workstation and workstation accessories were made. Interaction between the Digital human and 3D workstation was brought about. The manikins were given the required posture and the postures were evaluated using standardized methods. The results obtained from the above analysis were analyzed and utilized to suggest change in workstation design and postural behavior of the worker
