Present continuous
is composed of two partsthe

present tense of the verb to be (am; is ; are)

the present participle of the main verb (V-ing).

be +
Every student is running.

Present Continuous
They are talking to each other. The sun is shining.
I am playing a computer.. He is singing..

Past continuous
is composed of two parts :

the past tense of the verb to be (was / were)


and

the base of the main verb +ing (V-ing).

was/ were

Every student was running yesterday.

Past continuous
They were talking to each other yesterday.
The sun was shining yesterday.
I was playing a computer yesterday.

He was singing yesterday.

Future continuous
is made up of two elements :

the simple future of the verb to be will be

the present participle of the verb-Ving.

Will be

Every student will be running tomorrow.

Future continuous
They will be talking to each other tomorrow.
The sun will be shining

tomorrow.
I will be playing a computer

tomorrow.
He will be singing tomorrow.

Present perfect continuous


is composed of two partsthe

present perfect of the verb to be (have/has been)

the present participle of the main verb (V-ing).

Every student has been running for two hours.

Present perfect continuous


They have been talking to each other for two hours.

The sun has been shining for two days.


I have have been playing the computer for two hours. He has been singing for two hours.

Past perfect continuous


is composed of two parts :

the past perfect of the verb to be (had been)


and

the present participlr (V-ing).

had been

Every student had been running for two hours.

Past perfect continuous


They had been talking to each other for two hours.
The sun had been shining

for two days.


I had been

playing the computer for two hours.


He had been singing for two hours.

Future perfect continuous


is made up of two elements :

the future perfect of the verb to be (will have been)

Will have been

Every student will have been running for hours.

Future perfect continuous


They will have been talking to each other for two hours.

I will have been playing the

computer for two hours.


He will have been
