    The Centre for Air Borne Systems (CABS) in Bengaluru has been selected by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to develop an autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system capable of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. CABS will develop the UAV system over a 3 year period as part of an agreement signed in 2013. The UAV system will have an endurance of 10-12 hours and be able to transmit data in real time from altitudes of up to 15,000 feet.
