ric Walker is an entrepreneur, writer, host and motivational speaker. He founded Edge of Infinity Media and Enterprises, a TV/film production and media consulting company based in Jackson Mississippi. Prior to starting Edge of Infinity, Walker spent the last 7 years as a local TV journalist. He has worked in Florida, Louisiana, and most recently at WJTV-CBS in Jackson. His interview credits include Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, music legend Clarence Carter, civil rights activist James Meredith and Zimbabwean poet Chenerai Hove. A native of south Florida Walker studied mass communications at Florida International University. While in college Walker worked as an editor for Cable-TAP TV, a local educational access channel. During his tenure he was promoted to producer and later got his first shot on air. He reported for over 3 years on the stations local news magazine show In Focus. He also hosted his own interstitial Wordsmith Walker (which some south Floridians still affectionately refer to him as). Walkers most exhilarating experience was going to Washington DC to cover President Obamas first Inauguration. He wrote about his time there in a TV special docu-diary. Imagine That earned him a South Florida SPJ (Society of Professional Journalist) award. His reports and short documentaries have earned him recognition amongst premiere media outlets including The Miami Herald, CBS Radio, and the NAACP. Walker is passionate about people and making a difference through storytelling. He is the curator and producer of The Fate of Hate, a movement to expose hate and inspire love in local communities. The project is centered on the untold story of James Craig Anderson, a Mississippi hate crime victim. Walker enjoys thinking, writing, advising and speaking. His favorite quote is believing is seeing, a saying by motivational speaker Sean Stevenson. Anything is possible but you have to believe it first, then youll see it says Walker.
