The Huawei Electronic Documentation Explorer (HEDEX) is used to view electronic documents of Huawei products. 2. How to install the HEDEX? The HEDEX can be installed in the following OSs: (1) Microsoft Windows 2000 (2) Microsoft Windows XP Professional (3) Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic, Ultimate, Business, Enterprise (4) Microsoft Windows 2003 Server For details about the installation environment requirements, installation proces s, and troubleshooting, see the Installation and Common Faults and Solutions in HEDEX User Guide.pdf under the HEDEX installation CD-ROM. Note: The HEDEX can also be installed in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 and Solaris 10 , but the installation program is different from that for Windows. If you need t o install the HEDEX in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 or Solaris 10, contact Hua wei technical support engineers to obtain the proper installation program. 3. How to obtain the Help information? For details on how to install and use the HEDEX, see HEDEX User Guide.pdf under the HEDEX installation CD-ROM. 4. Folders in the HEDEX installation CD-ROM (1) hedex: stores the program files for deploying the HEDEX. (2) libraries: stores the libraries. If libraries exist in the folder, they are installed when you install the HEDEX.
