STUDY TOURS AT MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY

The Macquarie Experience
Macquarie University is ranked among Australias top ten universities and within the top 40 in the Asia-Pacific region. It is recognised for its innovative curriculum, high-quality teaching, world-class research and unique campus environment, and as such offers an outstanding learning experience.
We offer flexible Study Tours which cater to a wide range of group types, interests and sizes. We have organised Study Tours for over 100 groups for over a decade.

2 University Experience
This program is developed for high school students to experience what it is like to be a university student. It will give them ideas for the future on what they want to study and where, and potentially help them make future career decisions. This program will give students the opportunity to experience all four of Macquarie Universitys faculties Business & Economics, Human Sciences, Arts and Science. Each student will spend time in each faculty and will be interacting with existing university students. They will be sitting in lectures with students, taking part in sporting activities, and going out on excursions.

1 English Language
Improve your English language skills at Macquarie University English Language Centre! Participants can be integrated* into existing classes or customised classes can be arranged for individual groups according to their English level, language requirements or interest area. We offer TESOL Study Tours for English language teachers and Corporate Study Tours for company groups. Industry-specific English programs focusing on a range of topics such as Business, Law or Medicine can also be organised. All programs can either follow a regular or a more intensive study plan depending on the groups needs. The intensive option includes additional afternoon classes. We can arrange professional internships ranging from 4-12 weeks, company visits and guest lecturers from Macquarie University or local businesses to speak on a variety of topics.

3 Academic Specialty
The Academic Specialty program allows the groups to study a degree unit of their choice on Macquarie University campus. Many individual study units at Macquarie University can be tailored for Study Tour groups. We offer a large selection of under - and postgraduate units for personal development or interest from each Faculty, such as Translating & Interpreting, International Politics or Geosciences. This program gives students the opportunity to gain credit points towards their degree program at their home university.

The Cultural Experience
We offer a range of exciting local activities to choose from that can be included in all of our Study Tour options to complement the learning experience. We organise guided city tours, visits to native Australian wildlife parks and participants can learn to play cricket or how to surf. We can arrange accommodation for participants as well; there are a number of accommodation options for Study Tour groups to choose from, for example on campus or homestay.
