Traditionally governed as an Asian Monarchy, Korea first experienced a republic in the late 50s and early 60s. South Korea is now known as: The Democratic People's Republic of Korea Executive
President (Chief of state) Prime Minister Deputy Prime Minister 15-30 Cabinet Members also known as Heads of State.

Legislative (unicameral National Assembly)


Contains 299 members who are elected by popular vote and terms are held for 4 years.

Judicial
It combines elements of continental European civil law, Anglo-American law, and Chinese classical thought.
