    LifeHouse Ministries (LHM) held an open house for their new office in Smokey Point on October 27th from 1-4pm. They also held a volunteer orientation on October 15th that was well attended. LHM received a call from a distressed 23-year old pregnant woman named Jessica who is homeless and staying on a friend's couch; while LHM wants to help her they do not yet have a housing program running. They have received several calls recently from single pregnant women and mothers in need of housing in Snohomish County. The organization is asking people to consider hosting a young mother in their home to provide housing and change her life.

    *Our#Volunteer#Orientation#was#on#the#15th#and#it#was#great!#We#had#15#people#come#from#all#different#walks# of#life#looking#to#see#how#they#could#be#a#part#of#LHM.#If#you#didnt#get#a#chance#to#make#it#to#this#event,#no# worries!#You#can#always#email#us#and#we#can#set#up#a#time#to#share#the#ministry#with#you.#We#are#so#excited# to#see#people#getting#involved!##

    We#received#a#call#from#a#young#mom#named#Jessica.#She#is#23,#has#a#3yr#old#little#girl#and#just#found#out#shes# 3#months#pregnant.#Jessica#is#staying#on#her#friends#couch#in#Granite#Falls#and#doesnt#know#where#shell#move# to#next.#It#was#gut#wrenching#to#tell#her#that#we#dont#have#our#housing#program#up#and#running#yet.#I#took# her#information,#shared#about#LHM#support#group#and#told#her#Id#look#into#some#other#housing#programs#for# her.#You#could#hear#her#voice#crack#knowing#she#was#trying#to#keep#it#together#while#she#was#on#the#phone.# We#texted#for#a#while#after#the#phone#call#and#she#admitted#she#was#in#tears.#I#encouraged#her#to#hold#on#and# let#her#know#that#God#hasnt#forgotten#about#her.#In#recent#days#weve#received#a#number#of#calls#from#single# pregnant#women#and#single#moms#that#are#homeless#or#about#to#become#homeless#in#Snohomish#Co.#Until#we# have#families#sign#up#to#be#Hope(Home#Providers#I#have#to#turn#each#one#away,#and#its#heartbreaking.## # # # # # Please#consider#hosting#a#young#mom#in#your#home#for#a#specific#period# # # # # # #of#time.#It#will#change#a#life!##

    LHM is more than a support group; its my second home. The women are always encouraging and supporting my life by being there for me when no one else understands. Being a single mom is the hardest thing I have ever done, but this group allows me to share my relationship with God in each step of my life. -Stephanie
