Dictation/Phonics
The words we will be writing all week to get ready for our dictation test on Friday are Sam, Pam, am, map, and sap sentence: I like a map. Please help your child practice these words at home by saying Write the word am, /a//m/ (say the sounds), am. I will be placing D for developing G for grade appropriate and H for high on their papers.

Reading

This week we will read many stories about friendships around the world. We will recognize, sound and write the letter Pp. We will discuss and practice the reading strategy asking questions to make sure we understand what has been read to us.
