READING PARTNERS
Reading Partners is an agency that has been in our school for two years already. This is a non-profit agency that works with community members to assist struggling students in Language Arts.

Q: How have I assisted this community program?

A: I

have provided names of pupils and feedback about selected students that are performing Far Below Basic levels in Language Arts. These students will get once a week help to try to move them up in language skills.
Q:

Do all teachers participate?

Not all teachers participate for several reasons.

A: No!

1. It takes instructional time for the students. 2. It takes time completing the required form to be filled up before the students have been accepted. 3. Some teachers do not believe in the program. Is not what we do as individuals that make a difference, rather, what we create as a collective community. Jorge Guillen
