Saving your work in Geometers Sketchpad.

Make sure you are constantly saving your work. If you have a USB drive, a floppy or zip disk make sure you bring it with you to save your work on. You may also want to save your work as a picture or copy your work into a word file.

Saving a Geometers Sketchpad file: Make sure you save your file often!

Saving as a picture file:

Go to the file menu and choose Print The print box will come up and you will choose PDFCreator as the name of your printer. Hit OK.

This next screen doesnt matter, just hit the Save button on the bottom right.

Finally, in the Save as type: box choose JPEG Files (*.jpg) and then save the picture where you want it. Youre done! Check the file, it should be a picture!

Copying out of Geometers Sketchpad:

You can also select your creation and copy and paste it right into a word document.

Hiding any parts of a drawing:

There are certain tools you use to draw things in this program but you dont want to see them on your page.. for example if I used the circle tool to draw an isosceles triangle.

Select what you want to hide, then go to the Display menu and choose to Hide.
