To our respected dean of the college of nursing, Mrs. Isabelita G. Margate, staff development adviser, Mrs. Mara Amy Fiel T. Racines and Mrs. Evelyn R. Napitan, class advisers, Mrs. Nenette B. Oguis, guest speakers, clinical instructors, senior nursing students, good afternoon to all of us. Today marks a very significant moment to all senior nursing students as they develop their knowledge skills and attitude in partaking in the staff development program on End Stage Renal Disease and Dialysis sponsored by the Ruby section of class 2013. Bearing the theme: STOP. CHANGE. SAVE OUR KIDNEYS. This program aims to achieve its general objective which is to pursue a multi-pronged public health approach to kidney disease prevention and simultaneously provide information on the different aspects on the course of disease, its management and treatment, with the end view of decreasing the epidemic proportions of ESRD through a public talk and seminar delivered by healthcare professionals specializing in renal diseases. This can be done by focusing the program on the ff specific objectives which includes: To Disseminate information about the causes and preventive measures of chronic kidney disease. To Increase the understanding of the nursing students on the course of the disease. To Motivate and educate nursing students and health care professionals about their contribution towards reducing incidence of chronic kidney disease. To Increase counseling about renal risk factors To Provide information on the latest medical scientific breakthroughs, latest findings and Increase intensive management of patients with chronic kidney disease
Ladies and gentlemen, for this afternoons activity of learning, growth and fun, I welcome you all. Once again, thank you and good morning. Mirabelle T. Gementiza
