SECOND GRADE NEWS Dear Parents,

We are continuing to work hard in the second grade. Please continue to practice the skills we have been working on in school at home with your child. Reviewing the work in the red folder will help keep you up to date with your childs progress. Please notice your childs area(s) of focus and provide extra practice at home. We appreciate all you do in our combined effort to make this a successful year for your child.

As you are aware, we will be going to Callaway Math: Gardens Wednesday, November 6 to further our studies of Continue Chapter 4:2-Digit Addition the life cycle of the butterfly. You are more than welcome to attend as a chaperone if you would like. You could follow the Social Science buses, or you could just meet us there. However, your cost Life Cycle of a butterfly will differ from the student cost of $10. Your cost would be whatever Callaway charges for general admission. Tuesday, November 5th: PTO Family Literacy Thanks, Night at 5:30 pm. All of our second grade Allyson Houlton students will be performing songs they have learned in music at this time. Wednesday, November 6th: Field trip to Callaway Gardens Friday, November 8th: Addition Fact Fluency (+7), which will be 20 problems in 1 minute; Spelling Test; Reading Comprehension and Skill Test; Grammar Skill; Friday, November 8th: Richland Super Fun(d) Run 10:30-11:30. Monday, November 11th: No School (Veterans Day)
