(3 minutes) Sit in a circle on the carpet and discuss greetings. Do you like to be greeted in the morning? How would it feel if someone said good morning but frowned at you? What about eye contact?

M- Students, a meeting place, and a sentence

frame that says, Good morning! My name is _____. Please greet me in a ______voice.

of silly voices children could use to greet each other. Explain that we will go around in a circle and when it is your turn, you get to pick a voice you want the other students to greet you with. (5 minutes) Go around the circle and give every student a chance to choose how they will be greeted. Monitor voice levels, but allow for creativity (3 minutes) Close by thanking the students for participating and remind them of the importance of greetings
