PARENT CENTER OBSERVATION

Volume 1 / Issue 1 GET STARTED RIGHT AWAY

CCTC 15C Each candidate demonstrate responsiveness to diverse community and constituent views and groups and generate support for the school by two-way communication with key decision makers in the school community.

On October 22nd, I visited our Parent Center to observe the way they work as a team and see some of the activities in progress. Q: How do they work together? A: All of the parents seem to have a good rapport toward each other. They were involved in different activities. Some were cutting and pasting kinder pictures, while others creating an inventory of donations given recently for our Harvest Festival. Q: How are their efforts aligned to our school vision?
A: When I asked them about our school vision, they informed me that they were not aware of any vision, and that no one had ever asked them about. I began to explain to them about our school vision and led the conversation on the idea of creating a vision designed by the members of the Parent Center.
