ISR New Hire- Action Learning Activity [Activity Name: Prioritize Your Day #1]

Scenario:

On a Thursday morning you come into the office knowing that you owe a customer a quote they needed yesterday, for quantity 4. You were running behind yesterday so you have to finish your cadence document and Sales force update by 9:30 am. While looking through your emails you see one pop up for a customer you have been trying to break into for over a year, and it is an opportunity for 5,000 systems due Monday. In addition to that, you have a laundry list of regular daily tasks that must be completed including: email, voicemails, and scheduling a 1:1 with your manager.

Instructions: Prioritize these items in an order that makes most sense according to their importance, time to complete, deadline, etc. Rank the items in the order in which you would complete them. Be prepared to share your prioritization strategy with the class.

On Monday you come into the office and know you have a BP call at 9 am. While looking through your emails you see that an order for 2000 has been rejected from manufacturing due to an EOL part number in the BOM. Then you see another email from a customer that is demanding their shipment of 50 laptops be there by Friday. Another customer has just emailed you asking for a status on there order and tracking information. In addition to that, you have a laundry list of regular daily tasks that must be completed including: email, voicemails, and scheduled meetings.

Instructions: Prioritize these items in an order that makes most sense according to their importance, time to complete, deadline, etc. Rank the items in the order in which you would complete them. Be prepared to share your prioritization strategy with the class.
