US019 Adaptive Programming (AP) for ACS 800 AC Drives

Course Description

Course Duration The duration is 1 day total (This is a live Web-based program, with lab work being performed by the student while off-line followed by on-line review) Course Goal The goal of this course is to teach students to set-up, program, save, edit and download programs developed through the Adaptive Programming Software tool. Using AP through the ACS 800 keypad will also be reviewed. Student Profile The student will typically be electricians, technicians, and engineers responsible for engineering and modifying ACS800 AP programs. Prerequisites and Recommendations The student should have a basic knowledge of power electronics, PCs and control circuits. The student should also have the basic ability to use Windows-based computer programs. Description This course will cover the core components of the AP software tool, and give students the opportunity to practice on canned program requirements. In addition, students will have the opportunity to develop a program specifically tailored to an application of their choice.

Course Objectives Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: Understand PC tool hardware and software requirements Identify all specific software blocks available and describe their functions Develop a functioning AP and download it to an ACS 800 AC Drive Develop, save, edit, download and upload a functioning program Describe the I/O configuration and programming necessary to develop a functioning program Connect Drive Window & AP software to their ACS 800 AC Drive Repair faulty programming though software tools available Main Topics Course Introduction Operator panel usage Application of the AP Tool Complete software analysis Application macro Review Reading and interpreting AP Tool diagrams Commissioning the drive ACS 800 Keypad use and the AP function Fault tracing and troubleshooting through Software
