After reviewing the posting, I feel that I am a qualified candidate and would be able to help GlyEco Inc. continue to grow in their efforts to protect the environment through recycling glycol waste. Currently, I am a full-time student at Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe, AZ with a 3.58 GPA. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree and will graduate in December 2013. Throughout the course of my education I have worked on a number of projects. One such group project was for the External Reporting II class, in which our group generated a statement of cash flows and income statement for a supermarket chain. Although we only generated the statement of cash flows and income statement, it was necessary for our group to understand all of the financial statements and how to generate and relate them to each other. We then presented our financial statements with a formal report documenting our process. My previous work experience with the trucking industry would be an asset to GlyEco Inc. Although my experience was as a truck driver for 16 years and not in the business environment, I am familiar with the transportation of hazardous waste materials and the regulations governing it. I feel this experience enhances my understanding of the business needs of GlyEco Inc. and will enable me to further assist this company with future growth in the industry.
