Claudia Sealey-Potts___________ Internship Director University of North Florida Dear Dr. Sealey-Potts: My name is Zachary Lebovic and I currently attend the University of North Florida and will graduate in the Spring of 2014 with a Baccalaureate of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. I am writing to you in regards to admission into the Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program for the fall of 2014. North Florida's Master's program was brought to my attention through my course work at the University of North Florida. I strongly believe that I am an excellent match for UNF's Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program. The program's mission of developing graduates to pass the National Registration Exam, secure employment in dietetics, and pursue professional development and service are directly in line with my personal goals. I will use my experiences in student run leadership positions to meet the learning outcomes outlined in your program overview. As a freshman at North Florida I created a student run wrestling program that is part of the National Collegiate Wrestling Association. Using wrestling as a tool to teach life lessons, North Florida Wrestling has helped over 50 different men and women compete at the collegiate level and learn core skills such perseverance, team work, scholarship, leadership, and accountability. The programs mission of "building future leaders" is facilitated through the many hours of hands on work by myself, the team's president and captain. In addition, I spent two terms in the student senate on the budget and allocation committee overseeing fiscal requests from other registered student organizations. As a senate member I sponsored legislature and joint resolutions that were presented to the senate floor. To reiterate, I strongly believe I am benevolent selection for North Florida's Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program.
