SECTION ONE: BASICS SIMPLIFIED The Golf Swing Pre-Test #2 Set-up Test Take a picture

Please setup to a ball with an 8 iron preparing to hit a full straight shot. Have a friend take a picture front on and from the rear towards the target. Compare your picture to the photographs provided.

Things to look for:


o o o o o Foot position Spine Tilt Ball Position Arms & club (Y) No bowing of knees

Things to look for:


o o o Neutral spine Arms hang nearly straight down Knee flexion

Evaluation FRONT VIEW FAIL: Mostly concerned with foot position and braced legs. Should also show a slight spine tilt away from the target. REAR VIEW FAIL: Mostly concerned with neutral spine and arms hanging nearly straight down. PASS: When you are acceptably comparable.
