Barbarellies

These legwarmers bring you right back to the 80s. And keeps your feet warm. How cool is that? Hope you have fun knitting these.
4 -5 skeins of Hjertegarn Lima, Color 2873 Plum or any other worsted weight yarn will do. 4,5 mm/US7 DPNs Yardage: 360 430 m / 370 450 yards Gauge: 18sts x 28rows = 10cm x 10cm/4x 4 in pattern with size 4,5 mm/US7 needles Size: S-M: length 46cm/18 and 15cm/5,9 wide (flat), circumference approx 28-44cm/11-17,3 at the upper ribbing. L-XL: length 46cm/18 and 17cm/6,7 wide (flat) , circumference approx 32-48cm/12,5-18 at the upper ribbing.

Abbreviations: k1=knit 1 sts p1= purl 1 sts sts= stitch/stitches dpns = double pointed needles k1tbl = knit 1 sts through back loop k1f&bl= knit through front and back loops ~~~~~~~ Cast on 56sts size S-M (64sts size L-XL) loosely to 4 dpns, 14 (16) sts on one needle, join in the round. k 1 x p 1 ribbing for 14 rounds. Pattern: Round 1 : k1tbl, p1 one round. Knit 7 rounds in stockinette sts. Repeat pattern 9 times more.

1st Increase round: k1tbl, p1 x 6 (7) times k1f&bl, p1, repeat on the rest 3 needles. Knit 7 rounds in stockinette sts. 2nd increase round: k1tbl, p1, k1f&bl, p1 x 3 times, k1tbl, p1, (k1tbl, p1), k1tbl, repeat on the rest 3 needles. Now you have 72 (80)sts, 18 (20)sts on each needle. Knit 7 rounds in stockinette sts. Next round: k1tbl, p1 to end of round. k1 x p1 ribbing for 19 rounds. Bind-off loosely. Make the other one exactly the same way. Weave ends securely.
