The Community Service Council meets every other Monday at 6:30pm. Attendance is required of members. Submittin this application is your indication that you !ill ma"e CSC meetin s a priority. 1. Please describe your ast e! erience "ith community ser#ice. $ast year % ser#ed as a unit re resentati#e &or the Community Ser#ice Council. % "or'ed "ith my unit to ro#ide as many cadets as ossible &or ser#ice ro(ects by CSC and % ositi#ely rein&orced community ser#ice almost tri lin) the artici ation &rom re#ious years. *his summer % ser#ed o#er 1+5 hours o& community ser#ice at my local hos ital "here % "or'ed in the ,mer)ency room stoc'in) su lies and actin) as a )o her &or doctors and nurses- a "or'er in the co&&ee and )i&t sho - and &inally % acted as a liaison bet"een the nurses and atients by communicatin) "ith the &amilies o& atients and escortin) them to the re.uired location. % also "or'ed "ith a local Nursin)//ssisted li#in) home &or elderly "omen "here % assisted the Buildin) su er#isor by doin) a lar)e amount o& manual labor 0mo#in) bedsother &urniture1- yard "or'- administrati#e "or' 0com uters- &ilin)- etc.1 and % also "or'ed to s end time "ith the 2omen by either layin) the iano &or them 0 uttin) on small concerts be&ore dinner1 and tal'in) "ith them and listenin) to their stories. 2. 2hy "ould li'e to ser#e as a member o& the Community Ser#ice Council3 % belie#e that it is im ortant &or e#erybody to ser#e their community. 4y )oal is to hel encoura)e others to become an acti#e art in their communities. By ha#in) a osition on the Community Ser#ice Council % could easily dele)ate in&ormation to my unit and "or' to increase the amount o& artici ation5
