Jekyll says that he began to make arrangements for this new side of him. He arranged a new bank account and even bought a house in Soho for him. I made preparations with the most studious care. I took and furnished a house in Soho (pg59)

Dr. Jekyll Begins to write a letter giving the summary of the past events. He describes how he put his theory into action. I hesitated long before I put this theory into test and practice; I knew well that I risked death, for any drug that so potently controlled and shook the very fortress of identity. Jekyll wrote (pg57)

Jekyll then discovers that instead of achieving his ethical goal. Instead of outshining his good, the elixir did the absolute opposite. I had seen for the first time the appearance of Edward Hydethe evil side of my nature. (pg58)

Jekyll lived a 2 month time period being sober of the Hyde engulfed inside of him. His evil Urges had grown to a point in which he couldnt contain which triggered Hydes appearance. He had sent a letter to Lanyon in a desperate attempt to receive his ingredients to create another potion to transform back to Jekyll, even after taking the potion he more frequently becomes Hyde, which caused him to lock himself in his laboratory cabinet. He then ends the letter by writing I Bring the life of that unhappy Henry Jekyll to an end. (pg70)
