I have learned many things in my EDU 354 Instructional Design class. I will give a few highlights on some of the things we have learned.

The CLOUD has many advantages and disadvantages.

Some of the advantages are:

You can store your files on the cloud. You can pull your photos and other files up on any computer anywhere. If your hard drive crashes, you have a backup of all your files instantaneously. You use less computing power. Some disadvantages are:

Internet costyou have to pay for data. You need internet connection to pull your files up. You have to be careful of privacy settings.

CYBERBULLYING
Cyber bullying is a form of bullying with the use of any electronic device. It is becoming more and more common. It can happen anywhere at anytime. If you think your child is in any way involved with Cyber bullying go to http://www.stopbullying.gov/cyberbullying/what-is-it/ index.html to check for sign of bullying.

Popplet.com is a website you can build a web to help you set up a website of your own. You can also use it to design your web for your unit theme for your portfolio. Its a great way to organize your thoughts.

Text2MindMap.com is another way you can organize your thoughts. Its a great graphic organizer for students to plan story writing. It is also another way to plan a web for your unit theme.

Photojoiner is a really neat website. If you are working on a project and you can only put one photo in an area, well dont worry you can use photojoiner. Photojoiner.com allows you to join 3 photos together and upload them as 1.

Alternatives to Power Point

Prezi
Pros
Prezi has an online training. Students love it because the way it moves is exciting. It makes giving a presentation fun. There are many different templates to choose from. You can crop images. You dont have to have power point to use it. You can share it or keep it private. You can save a copy keep it and edit. Download for offline presentations. You can email up to 30 followers.

Cons
You have to have internet connection. You must have high speed internet connection.

Animoto: is a free website that allows you sign up for free. You can make
fun 30 second videos from pictures. The students will love using this site. The students can use their iPhone or android with Animoto. This site is kid friendly. They can add their favorite music to play during their video. You can also add text to the pictures. You can use these videos at home, school, or at your place of business. This is a great way to get your students excited about doing a presentation.

Slide Rocket
Pros You can access anywhere at any time. You can present on any operating system. Cons It Is not user friendly. It is not kid friendly. It is very confusing. It is designed more for business use.

Expressr
Pros Parents of students can use it. Parents can use it for business presentations. Students can use it for school presentations. Everything that is done on Expressr automatically saves on their server. You have a choice to keep it private or share it. Cons You dont get to preview how to use it.
