Not Yet: Student submits partially completed work that does not demonstrate understanding of political cartoons (perhaps student does not refer to the cartoons, does not use full sentences, does not go in depth enough, etc.).

Meets Standards: Student answers questions using complete sentences, uses outside independent research to clarify terms that are unknown, seeks help from instructor and peers to answer questions to the best of her ability

Exceeds Standards: Student answers all questions, demonstrates understanding of the task, student works independently to clarify what difficult questions are being asked, seeks help from instructors and peers when appropriate, and successfully identifies the messages of all political cartoons
