Health and Safety Risk Assessment

Production title: Date: Task: Location: Personnel:

Ready or not 8/11/13 Opening Sequence 22 Ramsgill Drive (RageenasHouse) Cameraman, Editor, Actor and Director

Name Turiga Karishma Simran

Roles Camera person Editor/Sound person Director

Potential Hazard

Risk Rating (0-no risk and 5-most risk)

How can the risk be reduced, and who is responsible?

Loose cables, wires and leads can be in the way when we are in the film and can be laying around at the location

The leads could be tied together and placed somewhere where it would not get in the way when we are filming. We could also place a mat over the wires so we would not trip over it. As the director is responsible for the film as a whole, it should be his/her duty to be responsible for the health and safety of the cast and crew; making sure they are not in any possible danger or threat to cause injuries.

Actor falling down the stairs

There is a high chance of the actors falling because they will be walking up the stairs and they might trip up. To reduce the risk of this happening, we can make them walk up the stairs slowly. The director should also make sure that there are no objects on the stairs which might cause them to trip up.

Actress might fall of the bed

The actress is being filmed in bed therefore she might fall as she will be moving around a great deal. We could reduce the chance of this happening by placing a safety mat of the floor so if she does fall, she will fall on a soft ground.

During the chase scene, the actress will be running in the forest therefore she might trip up

We could reduce the chance of this happening by making sure we film in an area where the ground is not surrounded by twigs, leaves etc which will cause them to trip up.
