Princess Ruby Red Competition 2014 Hawaii State Red Hat Convention

The purpose of the competition is to showcase the beauty among the ranks of the women of the Red Hat Society. While the Princess Ruby Red Competition will focus on individuals, it only reinforces the idea that we are All Royalty in our own rights. This competition will be judged on the following: Talent - Each contestant must present a 3-minute or less talent number. Attire - Each contestant will walk the runway in her finest that represents the theme of Ruby, Rhinestones, and Royalty. Contestant must submit information for the runway narration during her Fashion Stroll. Hattitude - Each contestant will be judged on poise, appearance, and the spirit of Red Hattitude.

Judging will be done by an objective panel of three judges. The competition is open to the first 15 contestants who complete the application form and remit the $25 entrance fee. Determination of entry date will be based on the postal date on the envelope. For harmony's sake, one contestant per chapter. Each contestant will be notified of her status as soon as the field of contestants is filled. Notification of closure of the contest will then be posted on our website. Contestants will be able to view/walk the runway and practice on Friday, October 17, 2014 with time and place to be sent at a later date. Prizes for the winner include a crown, sash, trophy, and a commemorative photo.

Music: Contestants must provide their own music as appropriate. The quality of the CD is the responsibility of the contestant. A sound system, cd player and microphone will be available. If other equipment is necessary, it must be provided by the contestant. Description of the Attire: To be submitted by September 1, 2014. Details to be sent to Princess Ruby Red Contestants. Narration should be about 1 minute and the description will be read by the emcee for the event.
