    Process of nation building in Malaysia depends on two factors To produce adequate workforce for national development Foster unity among various races
    Changes in the education system were necessary after the racial conflict 13May1969 Malaysia government have to re-examine the national education objectives and planned for dynamic education system

    New strategies incorporated into the Second Malaysia Plan (1971-1975)

    Objective : To foster national unity.


    Suggested : National unity can be only achieved if there is an equal opportunities in all fields for various races. To achieve this objective, all people, especially those who are poor, should be given sufficient opportunity to work and fulfill the workforce requirements of the nation.

    In the process of nation building, the emphasis are : To improve standard living of rural area people To create business and industrial society for the bumiputera group To reduce the economic imbalances among various races

    To achieve main objective of New Economic Policy : to foster national unity,


    Every Malaysian should follow and practise the following Five National Principles in their daily living:

    1. Believe in God 2. Loyal to King and Nation 3. Upholding the Constitution 4. Respect the Rule of Laws 5. Practise Good Behaviour and Morality

    The qualities into students through Malaysian education system

    Believe in and devotion to God Equip with sound knowledge Possess noble character Be responsible to individual self, society, religion and nation Possess balanced and firm personality Possess tolerant attitude

    The objectives of Malaysian Education

    To educate pupils To produce progressive, skilful and loyal citizens To produce citizens who follow rules and principles of Malaysian Constitution To produce citizens who will be loyal to the King and nation. To produce citizens who understand the principles of Rukun Negara To narrow the gap among the races

    The TEACHERS are the builders of the nations future. The classroom is where we will shape the mind and character of the next generation. Beyond knowledge and skill, what the nation needs is a generation of leaders with integrity and character. what we need are teachers who reach into the hearts of young people.
