DYE SENSITIZED SOLAR CELLS FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY SOLAR PANELS

V. Harish, R. Leo Prabhu, Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, Erode-52 Semiconductor based solar panels are usually of high cost and less efficient in power output. Instead, dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC) which are available now-a-days are demonstrated to have appropriate efficiency with low cost. In fact, efficiency of DSSCs is mainly depending on intensity light radiations. But, we propose low cost and simple produce for obtaining high efficiency DSSCs for solar panels. In this aspect we have planned to incorporate metal particles in different layers of usual model. It may enhance the efficiency of the solar panels. Here, the high efficiency is achieved by means of scattering of light which leads to light amplification so the strength of the incident photons.
