RE: COLLAPSE OF FLOOR SLAB AT TONGAAT MALL

We act for Rectangle Property Investments CC, the developers and owners of the Tongaat Mall.

Our client is deeply and gravely affected by the events of yesterday, and records its sincere and heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and injured labourers who were trapped beneath the collapsed slab.

Our clients will offer all forms of support to the affected parties and will make available all of its resources to address this most unfortunate situation.

The reasons for the collapse of the slab is currently under investigation by at least 3 independent structural engineers to determine the reasons for the collapse. We are anxiously awaiting the outcome of the investigation.
