Inquiry based methods can be used in all subjects form math and science to history and music. Students with ADHD have trouble concentrating and doing the same thing for a long period of time. They learn better by breaking down tasks into manageable segments and doing hands on (kinesthetic) assignments. Students who are gifted and have ADHD need to be challenged so they do not become bored. Inquiry based learning provides just that. It encourages the student to find out things for himself and identify misconception. It encourages the student to think like an expert in the field and to engage in divergent thinking.
