Religion: Many students brought in items from their own Baptism to share with the class. We saw many photos, candles, and certificates. We are learning about caring for others and caring for ourselves. Reading: We are working with short and long vowel sounds. We are learning about parts of speech: compound words, contractions, nouns, and proper nouns. We wrote in our November journals. Math: We reviewed counting on and using the number line to find the sum. We used counters and drew pictures to solve story problems. We used the number lines to solve subtraction problems.
